Some pictures from a holiday in the Yorkshire Dales in July 2000 ....

A round walk of about 7½ miles from Ribblehead (approx 1,500 ft of ascent)

Blea Moor signal box on the Settle to Carlisle railway

This view of Greensett Tarn shows how hazy it was on the way up - No views from the summit!

The summit - The sacks of rock have been dropped here by helicopter for rebuilding the wall that runs along the ridge.

The pool at the summit was full of tadpoles and froglets.

Looking back up the mountain and the visibility has improved now.
